I began my yoga practice about 8 years ago when I was at a point in my life where I craved balance. After spending 2 years as a hot yoga practitioner I decided to get certified (in Vinyasa) because I found that all I wanted to do was share my passion for this journey with everyone I met. Along with doing yoga almost daily, I realized how important it was to eat and follow a healthier lifestyle mostly because yoga was more challenging on days I would have enormous lunch outings at the office. Clean eating and yoga then became a huge part of my life, and as a result I found passion in cooking.
Small changes led to big results, and after just a few short months of eating clean and exercising regularly I found that friends and family were coming to me for questions and advice on how they too can become healthier. This eventually led me to make the decision to enroll in a Holistic Nutrition program and become a Certified Health Coach. I left my 13-year career at Consumer Reports® Magazine (first as an IT Analyst, then a Business Analyst in Finance) to follow my heart and share my inspirations with more people who want to be the healthiest versions of themselves.
I am now also a Certified Kids’ Nutritional Specialist, Certified Master Personal Trainer and a Certified Prenatal and Postpartum Fitness Specialist, as well as a new mom. This is such an exciting time in my life and I am thrilled to be able to share my knowledge and aspiration for fitness with other moms and expecting moms.
About 7 years ago I fell in love with fitness. At that time I joined a gym and worked out with a trainer. I loved watching my body change and get stronger. My trainer encouraged me to get certified, so I did. Two days after getting certified, I found out that I was pregnant with my first child. That’s when my love for nutrition kicked in. I wanted to only put good things into my body to have the best possible pregnancy and healthiest baby. I discovered the clean eating way of life and since that time I have made small changes along the way to get to where I am today. I now have two amazing sons and a fantastic husband who all recognize the importance of eating right.
I am an Elementary Special Education teacher, Personal Trainer, Pilates Instructor and Kickboxing Instructor. Over the last few years I began to notice that many of my friends and co-workers were asking me about fitness and nutrition. I realized that I loved sharing my passion for fitness and clean eating so I decided to turn this passion into a career. I am now a Certified Nutritional Therapist, Certified Kids’ Nutritional Specialist, Certified Master Personal Trainer and a Certified Prenatal and Postpartum Fitness Specialist.
I am excited to share in this journey to a healthier and fitter future with you!
